Last thing, Varsity 2 swims Tuesday evening.
Have a good week,
I apologize for the numerous emails on this meet. I just got the information and the event parameters. Because I am limited in my entries, I decided that having girls go all the way down there to swim 1 event was unfair. So I limited the entries to part of the team. The bus is now leaving at 9:45 from the HS. I did not schedule a return bus, thinking the swimmers wouldn't want to stay around for the entire meet.
The following individuals will be swimming on Saturday.
Jenna and Lauren Prunty
Jackie Grace, Sydney and Val
Congratulations ladies on beating Standley Lake 115 to 71. In addition we had 12 State Qualifying times. I really feel all girls swam really well for our first meet. Congrats to Shannon, Ann and Molly for competing in their very first meet ever. You did so well!!
Here are some quick notes for this week
Swim Practice next week will be Monday and Tuesday from 2:30-3:55 PM. Divers you will have practice starting 15 minutes earlier on those days. If you are in town and can make these practices I encourage you to do so. If not, try to swim 2500-3000 yards on your own with a mix of aerobic and anaerobic sets. A guideline for aerobic is that you could maintain that speed for a long time while anaerobic only for a short period of time. An example of an aerobic set is 8 100's on a 2:00 minute interval. An example of an anaerobic set is 10 25's on the :45 (you should be winded by the end of each 25)
Have a great break if I don't see you, but please stay in shape during the break... your body will thank you.
