2. Meets this week
Wednesday, Jan. 11th: Colorado Academy vs. Evergreen @ Platte Canyon HS, 4pm start time
This is a varsity meet only!! Bus will depart at 2pm, you will be released at 1:45pm. Everyone should plan to ride the bus. Driving separately will be approved on a case by case basis. As always, you can ride home with parents after the meet. We will stop for food on the way back to Evergreen, so please bring some cash.
Parents, we will need your help with timing at the meet. I will need at least 6 timers for the meet. If there is anyone to help at the scoring table, that would also be great.
Friday, Jan. 13th: D'Evelyn vs. Evergreen @ Wulf, 4pm start time
Warm ups will be at 3pm. We will be honoring our seniors at this meet since this is our last home meet. We will be hosting this meet, so I will need help at the scoring table and timing the meet. Please plan to volunteer your time if you are available.
We will have a team dinner following the meet on Friday at:
Evergreen Fire Department Admin Bldg,1802 Bergen Pkwy, Evergreen CO, 80439 .
This dinner is for athletes and coaches only. Parents, you are welcome to come, but we will only have food for the athletes/coaches. We will carpool to the dinner after the meet.
3. Team Pictures: Thursday, Jan. 12th
Our team pictures will be during practice time on Thursday, Jan. 12th after school starting at 2:45pm. We will be doing a team picture and individual pictures. Please wear your team suit!!
Please fill out the attached order form if you would like to order pictures and bring with you this Thursday. We will have a short practice following the team pictures.
I have asked the school to make reservations for athletes for our state meet this year, which will be held at EPIC in Fort Collins. I have requested that we stay at Cambria Suites in Fort Collins. I will be confirming these reservations with the school.
If your athlete has made the state team or if you anticipate that she will make the state team, you can make reservations at the same hotel if you plan to stay overnight on 2/10/17.
Here is the address and phone number for Cambria Hotel and Suites:
Address: 2921 E Harmony Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80528
Phone: (970) 267-9000
Also, we will need to have two team dinners during our stay in Fort Collins. If there are any parents willing to help with reservations for our team dinners at local restaurants, please let me know. Although it would be nice to have our team dinner at the Wild Game again, I think the drive would be too long and the girls would be too hungry!!
For lunch on Saturday, we can plan to pick up subs from subway for the girls. Liz or I can do this.
